Help with lubrication (!)

I have noticed that my Power Steering fluid is low on my 2000 Dodge Durango.

As ever, I reached for the ATF, but decided to check in the Owners Handbook.

This recommends "Only petroleum fluids especially formulated for minimum effects on rubber hoses Mopar Power Steering Fluid PN 04883077 is strongly recommended" (No surprise there!).

It goes on to say "Do NOT use ATF" in a warning section.

Does anyone know of an off the shelf product over here that would be suitable for the job?

Cheers.

Call Jeff Manni at the chrysler dealership in Cambridge, Tell him Jeff Brown from royston told you to call.... Jeff is a racer too,, remember Pied Piper?
He is the manager there, done me loads of favours on my Jeeps.

For any servicing.. Use KP.

Good question Pete :thumbright: now I know as well.
Had my Durango in for a service at the local Chrysler dealer yesterday, excellent service must say. They even informed me about a recall, and that is on a 7 year old car

I had the recal done on mine - the ball joints were shot to bits to the point of being dangerous. You could not tell when driving or even with a big pry bar due to the sheer size of it.
