Anyone using Eddy Victors?

The Edelbrock web site is a bit ambiguous as it describes Edelbrock Victor heads as the best available with a standard port configuration.
Does anyone know for sure if you can use a standard 440 pattern intake manifold with Victor heads and if so, are they any good?
I'll need some killer heads for the Stroker, but I want to maintain the nostalgia look, so I can't go B1s or Indy as I already have the intake and carb set up sorted.

They flow well but have had problems with rocker geometry due to poor push rod location, although they are trying to address this, you can use stock int manifolds but you will need offset rockers. Indy ez's might be a better suggestion at this point.

I've only read bits about the Victor heads Ivor. You can not run them out of the box, there are valve train issues, and some port work is needed also. The general concencus seems to be, they are a good head, once you've sorted out what Edelbrock should have already done. I believe the standard intakes fit.

Cannot comment on Victors, but I was impressed with the Indy "EZ"s and they are good for "A" Bodies - which is nice if you are keeping the inner fenders. They are available in stock or Max wedge port size. I guess I would always urge caution when "stock" fitting is quoted..............

Thanks guys...well if a set of nicely ported iron heads com up I still wouldn't turn them down, but I might stick with Eddy Performers or the EZs...I would rather stick with the tried and tested!

Edelbrock have had quite a few complaints regarding the valve train problems and i think the next batch will be better, as Pete says the ez's come in 2 flavours.
All these heads can be bought from the states cnc ported and headers should fit?.
