Did everyone miss the fact that a Dodge won the 500 and also held 6 of the top 10 places?

Best Daytona 500 I've seen in years. Now that Rusty's retired I pull for Ryan Newman, so I was well pleased to see the Penske Dodges wipe the smile off that smug git Stewart. First win for Ryan since 2005, and his first Daytona 500. 6 Dodges in the top 10 too - expect NASCAR to hobble them soon. I thought the whole race was a big improvement over the procession of the last few years. The new cars take some driving, but at least they have a bit more oomph with less restrictive restrictor plates, and the new wings make it possible to straighten them out when they get sideways.

Only spoilt by the idiots in the Sky studio. What inane (and ill informed) twaddle they were spouting - they only seemed to be interested in the open wheel drivers, and seemed disappointed that there weren't more wrecks. Wish they would stick with the US commentators like NASN/Setanta used to (and still do for the Nationwide series). Still at least Sky stuck with the rain delayed Fontana race the following week - right through to breakfast when NASCAR finally postponed it.
Anyway, we just renewed our tickets for Homestead in November :thumbright:
