Argent is a special formula, they did/do it in rattles cans but the end product is not so good, it is available as a spray formula from the States, it is rough to the touch and very metallic looking.

If you aren't in too much of a rush, I'm trying to find a good sample of Argent to match accurately so I can make a up a formula and I might be able to cross reference it with a stock manufacturers colour.
I think it's got quite a lot of flake in it, but is overall quite a grey colour, Roger's Charger grille may be good enough to match, so I'll keep you posted, I need to do mine in the next couple of months.
If an anyone has a nos argent silver part still in the wrapper, let me know!

Steve, that's tops, I think I can do something with that.
I'll do a test mix and see how it turns out on my Runner grille.

There is more than one argent, - even on one car!
My Cuda has 4 different argents:
Shaker
Grille
Wheels
Wheel centres
I got the argent paints from Roger Gibson
www.rogergibsonautorestoration.com
The shaker was a 3 pack process, the grill two pack (as i remember).
There are other argents used on Challengers, Road Runners etc.
If you want it to be correct, - All are available from Roger Gibson's site.

If you are getting from the US there a few options - Alltrim seem to be regarded as the most authentic, if Roger G does them then I'm assuming his will be pretty accurate too (I only saw shaker argent in his catalogue Jim?).
Or you can get them from Totally Auto in a spray can
http://www.totallyautoinc.com/paints.html, they seem to be regarded as pretty close. That would be who I'm most likely to go with - unless Ivor gets a formula sorted out - that would be great!
There are TWO textured argents - light and medium. The others are smooth.
Here's Alltrims opinion of the 'other' repos.
http://www.alltrim.com/ARGENTCHALL.html They have the last remaining supplies of NOS argents (or at least the important tinters that went into it), they used to sell it but I think will only use it themselves now, but they have copied it.
Close enough would prob be good enough for me!
