Shackle bushes

Got my first proper job to do on the Roadrunner (1969). Passed MOT (phew), but advisory on rear shackle bushes. Just had a look, def need doing. :?
Anybody done the job, are the bushes a push fit (ie. not press), and am I in danger of not getting leaf back in position once released? I'm hoping weight of rear axle will hold down while I bottle jack up rear of spring to insert shackles.
Anybody know cheapest/best supplier. I have used Rodley Motors, but only for fanbelt, oil filter etc.. :?:

Bushes push in/on easy job on a B body, most of the suppliers listed in the for sale area should stock them.

Support the rear chassis on axle stands near the front spring mounts and jack the axle up to take the weight off the springs. Then lower slightly to clear when the bolts are out of the shackles.

I believe Super Flex are looking at doing polyurethane bushes for Mopars. Give Chris Witor a ring on 01749 678 152 to find out more. He's in the MMA too.

Super Flex get them from Aus also, possibly the same supplier? I got them for the Victor, they weren't cheap but they were cheaper than trying to find original rubber ones for a Vauxhall!

Ta for advice. Have jacked up back end as advised, was a bit worried about spring twanging at rear when I undid shackles, but sounds like that shouldn't happen if I support axle properly.
Have ordered polyurethane bushes from CasAm at Castleford (?4.89 a pair). Tried Rodley Motors, seemed a little unhelpful, said couldn't do, then said could but only do kits at ?48 a pop.
Does your supplier tip (member of MMA) do all spares or only certain bits. I'll add him to my contacts list for sure.
Let u know how it goes - tomorrow or Thursday hopefully.

That sounds very cheap for polyurethane bushes.

Might be mistaken then. Let you know when they arrive!
