The pitman arm shaft can be different diameters I think? Easy to check though.

The later seventy two & up boxes used the larger diameter pitman arm/spline shaft.

Supposed to be on the same par as the 'firm feel' boxes , no complaints with the firm feel in the Pit.

The book I have covers 1968-74 mate. The lowest numerical part no. for a steering box I have is 2535533 (for a 68 A Body). Has the same no. of digits as your 'Q' number. They then go in ascending order numerically to 3845007 (74 charger, coronet etc.).

Looks like the book is no help but it certainly loks like your box is 67 or earlier mate.

Sorry couldnt help more.

Oh, what this book does cover, is every type of box that went in all body types i.e. early / late, power / manual, quick / slow ratio and there is no common denominator in the numbers used so eveything is random. You would have thought certain digits in certain places wwould at least let you know ratio, body type etc.
