can,t see how you could put that back on the street it is an all out race car and was so rotten it was only ever welded bodged up enough to be able to run the quarter not for mot/road use, would sure need a friendly mot guy to pass that, it would als drive terrible with all the alterations it has had

Whoh! That's not very encouraging for a new member Duncan, talk about pee on his strawberries! Anythings possible, Mark's got the car and no doubt you can help him with a lot of the bits he'll need.
He's joined the club for help to achieve his goals, he wants a road car.

i dont know the car but anythings possible. if i were doing this i would take a step back and assass what i had then ask for advice (as skylinecharger has ) im sure with the knowledge on this site any car can be put back on the road with time, patience and guidance.
good luck with the project, keep us all informed of progress and im sure you will get all the help you need (and some you dont)

Take your point Duncan. you're advising that there may be a better (more realistic) starting point for his goal?

thats right martin only tryin to say that car is so rough even well before it was made a racer, its a 12.5-1 compression mtr needs c12 racegas, has a spool in the rear wont go round corners, it would be a mega money pit to even attempt gettin half ready for the road, sell it on to a racer put a bit more money to and buy a nice street challenger,
best option imho
