Whilst its all in bits, and the gas-shocks are finally coming out I am thinking of springs. Immediate questions are -
Anyone done the mono route on a stock charger ? Do you like them ?
Anyone had old springs re-tempered ?
Where did you get it done and how much(ish) ?
Thanks -
PS - Yes, I've seen this -

I had my leafs retempered many years ago, if I ever did it again I'd want to know exactly how it would affect the ride height. In that case I just got them back and the car sat quite a bit higher - kind of like Super Stock springs. If you like the look or if you don't care, no worries, but if you want your ride height to be a certain value then make sure you discuss that with whoever does it - or buy a new set of springs from someone who can make them to measure (e.g. espo).
I ended up (years later) getting a set of MP HD springs (before the quality allegedly went off) and was/am v happy with them

Just got a set of springs re tempered a couple of weeks ago, I took in a super stock spring for referance and they re arched them to suit. Cost about £180 for the pair and I'm happy with them. Brost forge, 02076072311, they're in Islington.
