Rechrome or replace? Price comparison question.

I need to tidy up my bumpers but I hear that prices are 50/50 each way for rechroming and replacing. I don't really want to pay for another huge heavy shipment of steel from the States when I have them already.
Has anyone gone through this recently and does anyone recommend a good place to get a quote for rechroming both front and rear?
Cheers

These guys said £300 - £400 each which is a lot but 'new' ones on ebay.com are $330 so two of them plus shipping and it'll probably be the same if not more. Plus if you say the repro ones are naff then I'll just get these ones redone. Cheers Blackbird.
I ask Neil too just in case.
Thanks Guy

Id get em rechromed- careful where u go
I spent a lot on my Ol newport ones - started to yellow a bit after 3 months
and that was a company that came HIGHLY recommended
mind you - they were HUGE one piece bumpers - apparantly difficult to do!

There is a place down hitchin way (IIRC) witha good rep - others know the name and will chip in, or do a search this has come up a good number of times.
I need both my bumpers rechromed too. might be able to get a discount for a group bumper rechrome?
Also, I think I heard Hockley enterprises are OK in Southend?

I don't supply bumpers any more.... got burned big time doing a pair for a hemi car in australia and vowed i'd never supply bumpers again
If anyone wants a bumper from the USA I can ship no problem..... the deal is you buy it, i'll ship it

isn't there a place in Middlesborough somewhere? I seem to remember from a while back that there was one, no idea how good or bad though, if it even exists at all anymore
