Today in Scotland I met up with a bunch from the Pistonheads forum and went for a Hoon through the Highlands over to the West Coast. Not many exotica but a great day. I was in the car for 12 hours, did 2 tanks of fuel and had a great time.
Here's a few photos, apologies in advance as you may see some of these again in Connected!!

Fantastic! :thumbright: Love the Highlands. Got to be the best driving roads in the UK. That had to be a brilliant run. Where did you take in?

The route started on The Lecht, to Inverness, over Kessock Bridge onto the Black Isle, to Conon Bridge, Tarvie and Garve. Stopped for lunch in Applecross after going throught the Pass. Then Torridon and looped back on the A96 and back to Inverness.
A lot of the route was single track road with passing places which was a lot of fun for people coming towards us!!

the only two things that did anything for me mate was your car and the scenery the rest of the cars [regardless of wether they are faster etc] are just boring boxes and i cannot stand two seater sports cars but as said scenery and your dart are very cool

Sadly when you are in an area sparsely populated by petrol related events you've got to take it where you can find it. We had a awesome day ripping through some of the finest scenery in Scotland and to be honest I had a better time today than I've had at quite a few car shows I've been too over the years. Each to their own of course.

I appreciate the other cars for what they are, but can't say I'd be interested in buying one. (Never say never!!) The people were great though, very friendly and chatty. Just what you need when you are the only Yank owner for miles around.

This is quite a shock for me when I got here after having Valley Park, Krispy Kreme and other regular meets on my doorstep.

I was actually dubious about posting these photos on this forum, but decided I'd share as I'm still quite excited by today's events. The roads were great and the Dart gave a good account of itself.

On the flip side, there were some very nice comments about the Dart.

Apologies to anyone offended by the preceding images.

Great pics and scenery, looks like a fantastic day out. 12hrs and 2 tanks, sounds like my kinda fun :D

no need to apologise as far as I can see, I wouldn't want a rollerskate either, but they have a following, just like a plastic covered hot hatch. each to their own indeed, but at least the talk would be all cars while enjoying them for the reason there made!
