Carringtons Travels - Part 3

Post by kev73dart »

Hi Everyone, got a lot to show tonight so please bear with me. Finished work at 5pm and the weather was beautiful, so I decided to go door knocking where I had seen some nice cars.....and I had some great results. There are 3 main tales & the last tale involves a serious Mopar so here goes..
Those of you that followed my last thread will remember the old house with cars everywhere...well the guy was as old and he looked as rough, as the cars, but a nice guy all the same. He said I could take all the pics I wanted but advised against going in the woods because he had seen some big snakes  I took his advice!!
I'll post those pics in a second note, but this guy then beckoned me to his run down garage, he opened the door, and this is what I saw.....

Next stop

Post by kev73dart »

My next stop was a house where I had spotted a cuda under covers. It wasn't in great condition, neither was the 66 Tempest, but what excited me was that he was selling his house to move back to Florida - 3 garages, large house & 3 acres - for $240,000   The guy (called Luke) was a really nice bloke and the Cuda certainly had potential.

My last stop

Post by kev73dart »

I spotted a Roadrunner blasting past the Freightliner factory where I am based, and I soon realised he lives about a mile up the road from the site.
As I pulled onto his drive he was working on a 67 Camaro in his huge double garage. He introduced himself as Kurt Huntinton, an absolutely top bloke. He showed me around his HEMI Roadrunner.  :) The car has 40k on it, and is running a 528 Crate Hemi. It is an ex-pro stock car from California and is street driven - it is also mint.
He said he might as well show me his other cars and we progressed from one Double garage to another, and then a huge warehouse and finally a racecar trailer - have I died and gone to heaven??!!

MOPAR - Move Over Power Arriving Rapidly

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay My Mopar upon you
