Electronic Ignition module

While I am out in the S I thought I would price up a spare ignition module for my car, I have heard some of you say they are prone to failure.
Needless to say, at $22.99 (£12) = tax I bought one. I don't think they are too expensive in the UK, but I am sure they aren't that cheap.
Happy to get others, might need to wait until next time though, got a Moroso sump to bring back this time

Not bad Kev, but Mancini had a bucket of 'em at the MATS for 10 bucks each. I bought one to toss in the trunk as a spare, but I should have bought the whole bucket...

I'll have you know Bob my ECU provided me with years of trouble free motoring , can't remmember if the chrome one lasted any longer than the orange one , think i fitted 5 chrome one's to 10 orange one's.

The insulation plastic sealer stuff inside the module on the old New Yorker melted and run down the baulkhead like hot jam damned if I could get it off.
still worked fine though

Id just buy a 4 pin HEI module from a 76-86 chevy buick or similar
same function but no stuff to leak out and they go wrong slighlty less.
work well with a Mopar electronic dissy
bypass your ballast resitor
and run a 12 voilt coil
$17 -36
Napa parts stores do Echlin brand for approx $36 or unbranded chinese for $17
i've run the $17 one since 2003 and have had no issues
