August 1st '73 is when white/yellow plates came in. M reg onwards. All L suffix plates can be black silver.

I'm wrong it's 1st January

So.. what is you have a (example) '70 car with a 'P' plate? White and yellow?

'70 models made should be on a "H" plate white or silver letters on black.

Contact Matt for a letter proving age to take to your local licencing office to have it changed if it is on a P.

The law allows you to use white front/yellow plates on older cars if you want. But not black plates on a 73 and newer car.
