Got a soft spot for the mk2's, and this one in particular.
About 18 years ago i was looking for a mk2 Zodiac, and i came across this old fella in Bognor who had a few Consuls, and got talking to him, he had 3 saloons, a mint estate, a mint convertable and a ute.

He let me drive this one around for a day, to see if i liked it, before going out and buying one meself, it was mint then.

Sadly the old fella is starting to lose it a bit, he's gotta be 80ish now, and cant look after the cars like he used to.

Nice - I like the old Fords :thumbright:

My Dad had a Consul, Zodiac & Zephyr when I was a kiddie - I used to love the bench seat - would slide on it when he cornered fast!

cool. How come yours has a four number numberplate ?

Saw one of those cars on the motorway (zodiac, well they look the same to me) looked like it had been dragged out of a garden. Yes , of course i had my camera in my pocket.

Hoho yes!!!!!
My first car was a Hi-Line Consul. Have great memories of it. Black n burgundy. I thought I was aproper Bobbie Dazzler in that with my quiff.

TGT 279 - dunno where she is now.

Great car mate. I wonder what getting spares for MkII's is like these days. I used to go to 5 Star Ford in Brixton for mine. :thumbright: :thumbright:

Cool, my earliest memory's of cars are of the mk2's. My dad had a Consul that was light blue, but the roof was painted black not white. The second car I remember him having was a Zodiac and that was dark blue over light blue, just like the one in Will's picture. Only in much better knick cause It would have been about 5 years old.
The mk 2 Zodiac was a car I alway's wanted when I was a teenager but I never found one. There was one in Rossendale in the 80's with a 3.0 Essex in and sounded really cool. And I do remember when I was about 12, a chap brought one round to my dads garage to have a brake servo fitted as it had a small block ch*vy in it, and wouldnt stop. :D

Great cars. :thumbright:
