Have a chat to Mick70RR Mark
You deffo want a shift light/limiter
Drop some pressure outta your street tyres and fry em in the box.
Make sure you've got a tank of "optimax" or eqv.
Prey you don't break summat

4 speeds are not called "parts breakers" for nothing.
I had one in the Sox, and they are very hard to get off the line as they lack the torque multiplication capabilityof an auto. Mind you, that was with slicks. I was "side stepping" the clutch at 5200rpm.
If you have street tyres, it is more likely that you will suffer wheelspin as opposed to "bog". I would baby the car off the line and then nail it - it is not as exciting but will probably get the best results (times) on street tyres.
Option b) - buy a cheap race car and Bananarama! (with an auto in it)

Good luck, never got out of the box without wheelspining my manual, even coming out easy then nailing it got huge wheelspin and crap times

I just leave the line as fast as I can without lighting the tyres up. Doesn't work very often as you can see here.

I bought the manual off Pete and the effect of "side stepping" at 5200 was evident on the clutch steel plate- the metal was smeared like plasticene
I chickened out and swapped it for an auto
