Can't get the horn

Both of the Sparton horns on my car have failed. Yes the relay is fine and there's power to them.
Is it possible to repair these horns? They appear to be firmly rivetted together, which is a shame as I'm sure only the contacts need cleaning. One grumbles if clouted under power, the other does nothing. As I have MOT on Thursday,I've temp fitted a pair from a Volvo 240.It's not right or pretty but works.

Silly question Steve, do those horns have the adjuster on the top?
If they do, just a fraction of a turn can make the difference between a croak and blast!
If there is no adjuster, I'd be tempted to drill the rivets out, because I bet the rust has got in.

Yes,they have the adjusters, but, twiddling doesn't work.I've nothing to loose drilling out the rivets,4ba screws should put them back together.

If you want to rivet them back together, we have a good range of rivets. Let me know the width of the rivet area and I'll send a good handful

Indeed it is and thank you. I shall have a look at the horns after Thursday(MOT day) and get them measured.

Or was that a lobster?

I knew going to the gym was worthwhile.
Nothing like grabbing a nice pair of hooters eh?
