This axle came fitted to my Aussie charger project, the car was destined for the drag strip, but has since changed direction. The axle is not an aussie one but seams to fit apart from the angle of the axle is wrong, don`t know what it is from or what ratio it is, any ideas?

It's an 8 1/4" Mopar axle.

i was going to say AMC 20
but they have 2 piece axles
used in javelin+ similar and jeep
same number of cover plate bolts and same pattern plate though
Borg Warner australia did a rip-off copy with 1 piece axles and called it a BW M88 aussies call it a dana but it had nothing to do with them
used it in about 20 E48 valiant chargers and never made any more. standard val axle was M78
Blue knows best .
8 1/4 properly set up is supposed to be good to about 450BHP easier to find in the right width and you can get Sure Grips for em if you belive what mopar Muscle mag says.

Yea, it's a beefy enough axle alright, strong enough for any small block application without a doubt. Ratio is likely to be in the 2.76-3.23 range, it might have a sure grip in it, both things you can check by jacking it up and turning a wheel.
