It certainly looks like it hit at more than 30mph but I am sure it can be rebuilt, I have seen a lot worse looking cars put back on the road

That'll force them into an unscheduled script change, if theyre gonna film anymore Saxondale
Sandy, next time your on the MOCGB forum, pass on the twin's comiserations (condolences?) to Shellz
I'm sure it'll get fixed up better than new
PS Woody, in case you werent joking, Shelley is a SHE

Sorry, but to lose it going under the footbridge, it would have naturally stopped a lot quicker than that. The footbridge is miles away. Me thinks a lot more than 30mph.

I was thinking after, it might have been the name of the car in the series.
I havent seen too many episode's of Saxondale. I do like Steve Coogan, but cant relate to his charactor in this series. And even if only watchin' it for the yanks... I keep forgetting when it's on.

I certainly havent seen enough of it to hear the car being mentioned as Daisy.
WTF would call a Mach 1 Mustang Daisy?

... There ya go, I cant relate to it!

The pics look like stills from gone in 60 secs , the original, but it looks repairable, does look a tadge over 30mph, if shes just come off a roundabout, wonders wether beem any desiel spillage from a over full tank from a truck.
Main thing is Drivers ok, cars can be rebuilt , flesh n bone a bit harder to do

Glad she is ok

i once lost controle of my old Mustang at low speed(in the wet) years ago so i can belive it,i was a lot more fortunate in that i did not do any damage to my car

She did'nt say she was doing 30mph when it went wrong. She said she was doing 30, and then gave it some squirt. So coming off the roundabout just beyond the footbridge, getting to 30 and then squirting it seems plausible I reckon.

For what it's worth that bridge is not as far away from the car as it seems in the photo, the wide angle lens will cause things to seem farther away than they are due to perspective distortion. 30mph always seems slow in a car and we all think we can hit somehing at 30 and it would just be like walking into a door. If you have ever been on a bicycle at 30MPH+ and imagine slamming into a wall, you would have a better idea of the force of impact at that speed, that in conjunction with the force of 2 tons of metal behind it and that's a lot of damage. I would doubt Shellz was hooning.

Thanks Mike, the Prangograph shows quite clearly that comparitively little ground was covered between when Shelley said that the car lost traction...anyway, the most important thing is that no one was hurt and that Mach 1 can be repaired to it's pre-accident, no problem.
