Whatever i decide the nats is out
pete why not buy a shortblock thats ok and throw it all together just to have some fun at the nats

Bit of a bummer Pete , hope you sort it.
Sneeky Pete , you must of been runnin on the bottle.
My thinkin is , if yer tuning a motor @ the strip , you've gota have the exhaust buttoned up , no way to hear if it's detonating , or at least plug chop it , or use a knock sensor/stethascope , cheap insurance.

Pete I was talking to Al Golding who runs the Firenza with a stroker 440 and fogger and he had the same problem fuel puddling between the second and first ring and igniting and completely wrecked his pistons ring seats now running a KB piston with a stepped first ring and has doubled the ring gap to allow for more expansion.
Hope you can get it together for the Nats mate, wont be the same without ya

Pete , i take it the second ring did'nt get pinched.
