master cylinder bleeding

Hi do you have to bleed the master cylinder off the car or can you do it on the car with your "Good" mate and the pump the foot way

as i can't fined a fitting to bleed the front part of the cylinder as it's bigger than the one on the rear of the cylinder.

Bench bleeding is definately worth it..........sorry.

You need to bleed it off the car, you may not get full travel when it's bolted into the car and have trapped air which you won't get out. You can bench bleed it by pressing your rubber gloved fingers firmly over the ports, messy but it works....

Don't "over-travel" the piston, as you could damage a seal on any ridge that may have formed. Short strokes are the order of the day

In that case it can be done in situ.

NO,not as far as I know,it stops the guts falling on the floor when you take your foot off the pedal.

That's the beauty of the adjustable rod , no need to remove master to bleed.
