As an alternative to the usual 15" stuff .....(Except Budgies of course :thumbright: ) try these for size...................... :-k

These measure 8.5" x 17" and 10" x 18"

I will be bringing a few Set's of Wheels n Tyre's along to the NATS with me ....... :thumbright:

I always wondered what modern style rims would look like with fat white letter tyres? Are they a new or replica wheel?

I quite like big dia wheels on older cars like our A, B, C, E bods, but if you're gonna use low profile tyres, I reckon that Cornet needs bigger dia wheels - 20" praps?

Or fit taller tyres on those 17/18ers

Just my :mytwocents: :D

Not normally a fan of big wheels on old cars but I reckon they'd look the part if the car was a bit lower
that bumper looks a bit grubby :help:

I think that wheel suits the car quite well but I agree with Rob, they would look better with a higher profile tyre. Cool car anyway Budge 8-)

I think it's one of those where the photo's don't quite do it justice. Really works when you see it in the flesh. :thumbright:

Forgot to awnser this

You can't fit "taller" tyres as anything more than 45 profile and you are into 4x4 stuff ;)

Didn't go 19"/20" as you then DO end up with no side walls = 30/35 profile, just don't look right imo :?

Ounce she's dropped all round I reckon she'll look well 8-)

Lovely wheels. With Rob though - need a bit more side profile.

Are you leaving that bumper on the car? Might clean up a bit.

I really like the look of them on the '70. Classic with a modern touch. Bet they improve the handling too! :thumbright:
