I'm shifting the engine back a bit on the Barracuda, so I'm using a motor plate, would I be right in saying the big one piece motor plate is a better bet than going for the ears?

I have got one in the Sox, and Roydon fitted my spare to the Plodge.
Good bit of kit, well pleased
