Would anyone out there be able to probide me with the dimensions for a bumble bee stripe for a 70 Charger. I know 68 and 69 are different from each other (obviously, just thinking overall widths etc.) so I need the measnurements for a 70.

Can I have the exact measurement for (in mm please)

1.) With of the small, outer stripes
2.) Width of the thick centre stripe
3.) distance between the thin stripes and the thick one
and distance from the lip of the boot lid to the first thin stripe.

Many thanks

C

(I have a vinyl one on order which I was going to use as a template but it wont be here for about 5 weeks)h

I put a vinyl bumble bee stripe on mine in July … http://www.moparuk.com/forums/viewtopic ... 2&start=60

1. thin outer stripes – 10.5mm
2. thick centre stripe – 180mm
3. space between outer stripes and centre stripe 10.5mm
4. distance from boot lip – 70mm

centre the thick stripe over the side marker lamp openings

I guess these measurements are only as good as the info that the guy who cut them was party to. I got my vinyl stripe from http://www.alliancelink.com/users/joshs ... ripes.html

the distance from the boot lip was the only dimension that I had to determine myself, however, I wanted to get mine as far back as possible to cover some poor repairs, I did this and in my opinion the whole stripe has worked out ok, you might want to use your own dimension here, I studied photographs to try to determine what it should be, i actually think it should be greater then 70mm, i'll have to leave that one with you

hope this helps :thumbright:

Thanks guys, you have been a great help. Much appreciated.

There will be a red vinyl stripe in 'For Sale' soon

So, 70mm in from boot lip and corner finishers then just ensure that at those measurements the wide stripe has the marker lights central within it. :thumbright:

you might want to check the 70mm from the boot lip Clive, maybe mock it up with some masking tape before committing to paint

like I said I wanted mine as far back as possible for a specific reason, 70rtse’s stripe does look a little further forward in his pics imo, possibly only a few mm in it though

the main thing is it looks right I guess :thumbright:
