What're everyone's opinions? I never really thought that new stuff sat on old cars right, I thought that to look truly mean, you couldn't beat black and old skool. Then Budgie posted this 70 Bee in "Spotted on E-bay" and completely flipped my opinion on it's head! Never really got all that Foose stuff, but now I'm wondering if I missed it all a bit.

For me, nothing beats the look of an old skool super stock racer on the track, but I'm now wondering what I would do if I had a lottery win and was building a bad a$$ cruiser. I just love this car!

Yea, I like that. Don't normally like modernised classics, but that one has been done with the minimum of bling and not had stuff changed just for the sake of it. The man has a great eye for what works.

Needs door handles though...and lose that pants boot spoiler

I like this look if it is executed well and this is nice . I think more modern technology is the way to go .This car is absolutly spot on for me ,the old and new in perfect harmony and its a nocthback that helps

Not worried about a modern mill,......but modern brakes and handling are the way to go

that suprer bee looks cool, not my sort of thing but extremely well done, not over the top. the babararacucudada on the other hand is just abbout purrrfect, it looks old with all the advantages of modern running gear, if i had the cash id buy both

You just can't compare "old school" stuff like the Cuda to a "resto rod?" like the Coronet, different animals completely.

The Coronet, looks spot on to me

I love the thought of the old classic lines atop a modern chassis, suspension, brakes & motor.

I personally am not a great lover of Bling 20" Rims, still prefer the look & stance from a set of 15" rims.

I dont like things that detract from the original body lines & shape, then again it depends on how well the work has been executed.

Certain people have a flair & eye for this, such as Troy Panier. He for me did, some great body styling, with the exception of cars like The Sniper

Chip Foose has some great subtle ideas, but sometimes he lets him self run away too much for my liking.
In summary, if its done well, not too OTT, then I'm all for it

I'm gobsmacked that this hasn't been lambasted by the rivet counters, really! Or are they just not commenting?

I know what you mean about Foose. Most of the time he makes me think "Oh dear, started off brilliantly, but just went too far in the end!". Not knocking his work, the man is clearly gifted, just like to see the brakes put on before it runs away sometimes.

I agree about not detracting from the lines, too. That's what I love about the Bee. Nicely accentuated!

tasteful modification for saftey and performance is my preference

i.e brake suspension drive train i.e anything you like on the engine front.

leave the body alone

it can all be put back if you suddenly get rivet itice

Thats how i feel. Its ok in Moderation

But i would still rather have a Stock 70 Coronet with Dogdish wheels rahter than that one shown.
