Rack and Pinion Steering Kit

Hi Guys
Just bought a rack and pinion kit for my 69 Charger from year One. Having serious problems with clearance - mainly with the headers. Does anyone know what headers are compatible with these things? I have a 440 and am running Hedmans Hedders on the car. I have been told stock and TTI headers are the only ones that fit, is this true? How much are TTis?
Cheers

Welcome aboard Mike!
Congrats on the rack and pinion conversion, there are quite a few here that would like to see some pix of that, anyway in answer to your question, TTI's are reckoned to be up there with the best headers money can buy, hence they are not cheap!

Hi Ivor
Anyone in the Uk stock them?

No one in the UK stocks TTI's, they are expensive, probably about £500+. Jim Wilson on here can get them, as can six pack speedshop. Have a look at Doug's Headers, they look to be a very similar design so they might work, they are much cheaper.

(with my mod hat on) can I suggest this thread has summat to do with headers added to the title? You never know, someone may have a set of TTI's going begging, but wont read this as it's titled Rack & pinion Steering Kit?
Just a thought...

Good point Rob, perhaps you could edit the heading yourself Mike? Just click edit in your first post and you could get lucky!

picked up a set of stock headers today from a mates 383 so good to go! Loose a few horsies but will save any hassle. TTis are too expensive at this minute and time.

Is your suspension all stock apart from the rack? i.e. stock 'K', etc

yes, going to sell it all after the new parts go in. Selling as one full unit with steering box and all.
