Challenger - ideal front tyre height

Hi Mopar fans.

Opinions wanted, please.

On Chargers, I tend to put 235 x 70 x 15 tyes on them to "fill out" the arches and allow for lower suspension settings and avoiding rubbing, etc.

I am putting 15" wheels on my Challenger.
Don't want big wide tyres, as they are going on standard (guess 7" Raylles).

I notice they do 225 and 235 tyres in 70 profile as well as 60 profile.

Any views on what looks and fits best on Challengers - I am not so familiar with them and the clearance on the wheel appetures (Car has WOMs).

Ths is just a stocker, so nothing special here.

Thanks for your views.

Pete

235 in a 60 series on a 15x7.

70 series and more are for 14 inch wheels.

And on the back I was thinking of 255 x 70 x 15 as the car has 4.10's in it and a cruising speed of 60mph on 14" wheels

I would use 235/60/15s all round on a stock car to be honest.

pete, i run 255x60x15 on the rear but thats on an 8"rim as dave says prob 235 on a 7"rim plus if you went 70 profile series thats a lot of tyre wall in the arch :thumbright:

Thanks for the responses guys.
Had the rims measured today and they are only 6.5" wide, so that will crimp my style a bit.....235's look like the best deal in town.

Nice car :thumbright:

Need 235 x 70 profile tyres on the back to give the "overdrive" advantage.
Thanks to Dave's clever little calculator :thumbright:
