My gear-box is realy getting ready for a re-build, I have a spare condition unknown, so I plan on getting this one re-built so the car is not off the road. The big question Dunc or Blue, is the early range rover 3 speed a 904 or a 727, Iwas thinking of the first and second gears

Early RR box is a 727. But I know nothing about the bellhousing,or the rear end where it bolts to the transfer box.

All the internal parts on a Range Rover 727 are standard Chrysler parts, so yes, they do interchange.
