Anyone got any experience of Trans-Dapt engine mounts? Opinions?
Need to mod /6 K frame to suit 318. Interested in these v's Schumaker.

That's quite cool Steve, thank's.

Concentrates on the early models though, which have a slightly different set up, methinks. I know the engine bay is smaller on them.
Sure the fact that it's RHD is going to cause headaches too!

Has anyone used this company for mounts? They seem a lot cheaper than Schumaker, wondering why.
I'm guessing that the 340/360 mount kit won't be of any use to us? Am I right in saying the mounts were different?

If its RHD i'd be looking to Australia for inspiration
Contact Ray and pentastar parts and restoration.

mind this is probably a shumacher Kit.....
or have a chat with craig he might have the K frame from that aussie VIP VG he dug out of a breakers yard in the summer
it would have had a 273
any aussie V8 K frame from VC (mid 6os to 82) to CM should fit directly..earlier US sourced one is slightly different....

Dave's cool site wrote:directly to your Slant 6 K-member — with no cutting, welding, suspension changes or K-member removal required.
Those are exactly the kind of words we're looking for!
Good link and info as ever Dave, ta!
Have been reading through here
Aussie Forum but it's heavy going trying to decipher it all and find what we want!

yup ask an aussie a question and they'll answer what they think you want to know and sometimes that's not what you want to know. They will assume you have access to all the stuff they have access to, like a part car local autofactors with parts for you car etc.
Mopar market will give you the low down on most RHD chrysler stuff with an obvious bent towards /6 hemi 6 and small block
however advice will often be "ah mate you need to phone such and such" with no indication of who what where or phone number..again the person providing the advice will have assumed that you are a member of the aussie chrysler community, read all the aussie mags and message boards and as such will know who the guy is where he works and what he races.
for example some extractors for a 318 in you car.
5 or 6 places have them on the shelf
but there are loads of little places who have a jig who make a set up once every couple of years on request and the guys will just assume you know who they are.
for example
http://www.castleauto.com.au/hs_dbase/f ... xsc2VhcmNo just search chrylser
350 bucks or approx £150 gets you a kit to build your own 318 headers.
they do headers for any chrysler engine in a RHD a body style car
and will if you ask nice use any bore of pipe within reason
of pay $525 and get a set ready made

A body, Dunc?
What condition and how much, Mate? I remember Kev saying about the steering box on our car, though, would that make a difference?
Dave, you know your poop, I'll say!

When I have more than the 30 seconds I've got now, I'm gonna re-read that.

duncs K frame will be fine
its RHD
so its probably a barracuda or aussie val one
no probs with ya steering box.
off set of motor to one side is the same on US LHD and Aussie RHD K frame....same floor pan as well.
you will have issue with the oil filter on a US 318
need sandwich plate/ block off and remote filter head i think not sure

Dunc and Steve have come up trumps on the K Frame and the remote filter kit!

Top blokes both!
Dave, I want those headers just because they look so sexy!
