well if ya want my advice, n' your building a high hp,or big stroker motor u want to use the mopar siamese block if u can swing the price, the bore size it comes in is around 4.500 in. they can build big as 622ci.with that block, in my opinion the perfect motor to build with that siamese block is the 572ci, they stay together. The bigger 622 arent as reliable, the big problem with using the stock block that came in trucks and cars is it's fairly easy to make 700hp, well the stock blocks were designed for less than half that, so the main caps start walking in the bottom end and can pull the webbing rite out, so all them high dollar parts are junk, the siamese block has lots of xtra iron in them areas and the mains are crossbolted, that block comes in hemi style or wedge whatever u want, wish i could afford one, my 496 stroker is apart rite now because the caps walked, but i caught it in time doing bottom end maintenace, my crank, rods and all that still good but the block is junk, so this time i'll use a stud girdle, that will help, i was at 650hp and i wont be trying to make any more with my new used production truck block ......

Adam has fitted his crank and it spins with a twist of the wrist, he went to fit the first two rods and found it was pinching the caps and had to have 7 thou taken of the side of each big end, so tonight picked up the rods from the machine shop and dropped them over to Adam and helped him fit the first two dustbins into the block.
The clearances were fine and it is beginning to look the part the pistons are decking out at -45 thou so not sure what the final comp will be.
whatever this is going to be one sweet motor putting out some serious Ge Ge's, I just hope his body does not look like a liquorish twist out of an allsorts bag when he runs it hard.

Static CR works out to 9.2 with .055 HG , was obviously built with 9.4 static CR with .039 HG , won't have any tuning issues runnin the sniff , anyone know who sells 88 ron fuel.

Same rods (7.100) , did'nt want to use the copper gasket with sniff without o ringing the block , the MSL gasket is .055 , now i know the CR it seems pointless raising the CR a couple of points & go the copper .039 gasket , those pistons have a 45 cc dish , heads 79cc & .045 below deck.
Will make for one sweet motor on the road , reckon it'll go some down track too , can walk inside those heads.
There's a few out there running 9s on 572" motors with around 9:1 CR , heavy motors too (no sniff)

we were told it was 10-1, never actually checked, that motor was sweet as mate, it used to idle mint even with the dominator, never got hot, and pulled like hell, ran a 1.32 60ft time clocked on the rear tyres at santa pod with the 727 launching at 4.8k, and ran a 1.40 at york with the th400 launching at 3k, we never actually got the full potential out of it, we did one clean full pass which was the 1.32 60ft 9.81 @136 with no timing, and no carb tuning, it would have run mid 9's had we had more tracktime on optimax

would of thought you'll be in the high 10's very low 11's without sniff on it

Well , after havin the crank crack tested , ground .010 (mains & rods) , rods ground for clearance (.007) ..................mocked the bottom end up & found #7 & 8 rod Bananarama! the clinder walls (rod caps sit higher) , was thinking of chamfering the rod bolts but was told to clearance the walls instead , all gotta come out again , will check all cylinders for clearance.
One step forward ten back.
