I liked the CPR one, although I wonder why it was flagged and I had to sign in to view it? You can watch all manner of horror and cruelty being inflicted on animals on youtube in the name of entertainment, from being skinned or dismembered while alive, to being executed for fun. Yet youtube are concerned I might find girls kissing offensive. I find the sight of an animal with its skin ripped off, and being left to die slowly and painfully, a lot more offensive

I came across a clip the other night, from an Iranian circus I think. ( I was actually searching for info on a particular shark attack incident when this came up in the related links) One guy had gone in the lion enclosure, it attacked him and had him pinned against the bars. One other circus worker was reaching through the bars holding the lions head by its mane to stop it killing the other guy. He eventually let go and the lion chewed down on the first bloke and started dragging him across the floor with blood everywhere, intent on eating him. In the panic and chaos that ensued, a policeman (I think) came on the scene with a revolver and he shot the lion in the face several times, missing the man's head by inches as it was in the lions mouth more or less.

The lion didn't go down straight away but eventually the bullets took effect. What a waste of a beautiful animal. Why was that guy in an enclosure with one of the most ferocious creatures on this planet without a tranquilizer gun or someone on hand with one just incase of an attack? It's a lion for Bananarama! sake, not a labrador. There is no such thing as a totally tame predator, it's just like having a Great White with fur on. Instead it had to killed to save this idiots life when it should never have been in a circus in the first place. Yep, but mankind seems to think everything on this planet is just here for him to make a living out of.

Many local authorities in the UK are supporting the welfare of wild and exotic animals by banning acts involving animals on their land to try and stamp out the cruel and degrading way in which they are treated. Hopefully one day animals in circuses will be a thing of the past, but until then, do your bit and boycott any circuses advertising performing animals, and maybe lions, tigers, elephants, seals etc can get to live their lives as nature intended. Pakistan? Performing bears....don't even get me started on that one - a red hot poker up your snout and through your skull so a rope can be threaded through to 'help' you learn to 'dance'? Sick Bananarama!, how can people enjoy watching that?

Rant over.....for now

It's not for the easily annoyed/ upset/ sickened/ disturbed ;)

Take a look at 'pavement art' or 'optical illusions' next time you're stressed- very cool stuff and no animals were hurt in the fil.... you get the idea ;)

No paul, I am not easily annoyed or upset at all. If blatant animal cruelty doesn't arouse some emotion in people then they would need to be pretty heartless or just don't give a monkeys about anything else that lives this planet, apart from themselves and their own selfish enjoyment of what the world has to offer.

I just heard today that the three blokes in Amersham who illegally shot and buried 40 swans at their private lake (who were let off in August because the police 'lost' the evidence) will now receive £30,000 compensation. There's justice for you, and who gives a toss about a few swans anyway
