Rallyes or Minilites?

I have been thinking for a couple of years of maybe selling my 15 x 10 and 15 x 8 Rallye wheels and fitting Minilites instead.

What do you guys think?

My problem with the Rallyes is that with them being wider than stock you have a gap between the trim ring and the holes around the face of the wheel. So you loose the "full circle" effect in the reflection and the whole wheel ends up looking too "fussy" to me.

You never suggested there would be a reasoned argument to all this...

I see your point, but one of the things I like about your car is that it doesn't have external bling, just it's showroom good looks.

Are the minilites the only other wheels in the frame?

Yep. And only because the track cars of the time all used them including the T/A and AAR. They don't look modern or "Bling" either which is more my kind of thing for the exterior.

I hope you wouldn't jump in his grave that quick Pete

I prefer the rallye's Dave. The car looks mean as sitting on them.

You could have some of the nice factory option wire wheel covers.... :help:

Get some Minilites, but keep the Rallyes - then swap them as the mood takes you Dave!

I know what you mean about the trim ring gap - I put 15x8's on the rear of mine. Must look even worse with 15x10's. You'd think someone in the aftermarket would make deeper dish trim rings?

Not too hot on correct wheels, so don't shoot me if I'm being cretinous, but did 70 Chally's come with Magnums? Can't see 'em listed, but thought I'd seen them on before. :read2:

They would look good without being bling. 8-)

They only came with 14" magnums (actually called "Chrome Road Wheel" by Chrysler. "Magnum is the Ford name).

I don't like them anyway.

Also i would have to sell the rallyes to pay for the minilites. No other way of doing it.

Ah! I'll wash my mouth out...

Rallye's I stick at then. :thumbright: And it's a decision that wouldn't cost you a penny or an ounce of hassle, either! 8-)
