few pictures from 1985

been having a rake round , to find some photos for another thread .... found these , have posted a couple before somewhere ..... there were two red barracudas there at that meet ..looked identical ... except one had door & the other had front wing damage from memory also one had round tail lights , ..i'm sure i have better pictures somewhere

.. had pinball wizard there also one weekend ... spun a rod bearing though

, white SE challenger had 440 or a 383 ..only ever saw that car once , never any where else ..

yeah i thought that at first the charger is 440T though

Great pictures Steveo. Can we have a few more if they are about????
I love the old photies, some of those cars look fantastic and capture the period perfectly.
I love that pale yellow Coronet.

Aaaah yes....."Sloping Alley" as me and Adrian used to call it

. Not exactly level! I'm sure I have a few pics somewhere from a race there....there weren't many. It was nice to go somewhere other than the Pod or "Long Marston" at the time

Don't recall seeing that 70 Bee before.
We need more old pics in these dark winter months. I'll get the scanner going after Chrimbo.

started out as a 1/4 but was soon changed to a 1/8 th mile , the run off was to short for faster cars .
yeah thats right only a few meetings ..as the farmer was not too keen on the spectators or something , what finaly put the kibosch on it was some plonker rode his motor bike through the farmers crops ... i actually saw the farmer chasing him
would be interested seeing any pictures Gavin

Good picture Adam .... that Yellow Superbee ..is now back to its B 5 blue paint ..needs restoration now ..been up for sale a few times ...
my dad almost bought that back in 87 . there is a thread on it somewhere on here !!
agreed need some good old time pictures this time of year to look at

was having a sort through picture folders , found these , weren't sure / could not remember !! if i posted them here or not , but had a bit of a search & yes i had ,
like the above posts says , sure i have more on manston , well have a dig around ,
