I thought this was really funny. Those of you that visit the moparts board now and again will get this.

Typical Moparts OT thread:

Poster #1: "Anyone know where I can find a decent hidef TV?"

1st reply: "Try Best Buy or Walmart...they have some good deals"

2nd reply: " Stay away from **** brand TVs. They tend to fail after a few months"

3rd reply: "that's becase they're made in China"

4th reply: "Doesn't anybody buy things that are made in America anymore? Meanwhile they Chinese are taking over"

5th reply: "I always buy American...I don't care if it's more expensive"

6th reply: "But not everyone can afford to pay more based on principles"

7th reply: "It's people like you that are making this country go to hell. I bet you hire illegals too"

8th reply: "Walmart is worse than Satan"

9th reply: "Screw you man..I'll buy what I want, as long as its affordable and cheap"

First poster again: "So um...we're getting off topic here. Is 1080p better than 1080i"?

11th reply: "I bet PENGUINS look good in HiDef"

12th reply: "I'd say go with 1080p, especially if you have or plan on getting a BluRay player or Playstation 3"

13th reply: "What's with you people...I'm still rocking my 13 inch black and white TV. Besides, there are no good shows anymore, like Bonanza and Hee Haw...those were the good old days"

14th reply: "Man, I just got a 42" LCD, 1080p. NFL games look great"

15th reply: "NFL...I don't watch it. I hate pro sports. It's just a bunch of spoiled, overpaid ni...I mean...thugs".

about right for that mob over there ..still don't know what the crack is with the penguins

Penguins are the Northerners (those from the colder States) and the hippos are those from the warmer States (e.g. Calif). Yes it took me a long time to get those references until it got explained somewhere.

Looks pretty standard from the General section - the Walmart haters etc. Also now it has got so that ANY mention of politics immediately gets the thread locked...as is looks above (I think it was the inauguration crack that did it?) !

Bear in mind there are many thousands more members of that board than ours....99% are very helpful knowledgeable people who go out of their way for others. A very small % are argumentative or deliberately join to push peoples buttons, not hard really, just as it would not be hard to do that here......(as a small minority have also found!)

oh right i see ..north & south thanks Gavin now i know ..yep found the guys over there to be help full ..... just don't mention 440 sorce ... few of the guys get very exciteable ... got a bit out of hand on one thread don't see the problem with their stuff , just not made in the US ... the more i'm looking at them stealth heads ! look real tempting the cnc ported ones ..paint them orange .... look almost stock !
