That's fantastic Dave, thanks for that!

Now that the DVLA has tracked down my V5 complete with the VIN number my old bus turns out to be a 1965 model and the front end and interior is identical to those above.

Apart from the fact my steering wheel's on the other side!

I'm trying to keep the interior as original as possible Dave, even to having the race seats upholstered in the same stuff, for that special je ne sais pas quoi! :thumbright:

This may be useful ... although, I have no idea what the conversation (above) between Dave and Ivor is about.

This is the dashboard to a Canadian ’65 Barracuda I believe it is the same as a U.S ’65 Dodge Dart, the front hood badge is the same as a AP6 Valiant (65) from Oz and the boot letters are the same as the VC bootlid letters and the standard steering wheel (not the optional sports one) is the same as the VC steering wheel so if your friend has trouble sourcing these parts from Canada/U.S Australia can be another alternative for these parts.

Here is the 1965 South African Valiant brochure, the ZA equivalent of the AP6. Notice the little white dots between the headlights and the over-riders.

This was a South African mandated white reflector on the front of the cars. There was also a red one specified at the rear as seen on these 1974 Valiant Rebel brochures.

Sandy, I was referring to the link that Kevin had posted regarding the AP6 leaving the Christmas party!

The dash picture you posted is very interesting, mine's a '65 and looks like this! ;)

Sorry it's a bit small, I pinched it off the Allpar site.
