Stage 1.

Strip all you can from the helmet, inside and out. Anything that will not come off, mask. But mask careful, take your time.

The next stage is to give the helmet a good scurf with an 80 grit disk isn't it Jeff?

Scuffed this with some 1000 grit (dry).... Then over all again with red scotch pad. Make sure you get in all the nooks and crannies. Before sanding, give it a going over with panel wipe. This de greases the surface.. Check all you masking after this, and go have a cuppa. We are ready for the basecoat. It this case silver.

Sorry,

Due to adverse weather conditions, my garage is closed at the moment. So there will not be any painting this weekend! BUMMER! I have so much to do as well.

Tomorrow I am supposed to be picking up some newly developed paint, that is not out on the market yet! But the Saab has blown a tyre! And Anne won't let me out in the truck!

Well I have just got back in from the garage.... I managed to get some work done after all. Pics to follow later, as I have laid a couple of coats of clear on it, so it needs to harden.

I put 3 coats of Aluminium paint on, the a couple of coats of VooDoo, then two coats of clear to seal it all in.

Well here it is.....

Auminium base, Voodoo dust and 2 clear coats. I just need this to harden off, ready for the next step.

A few people have told me to leave it as is! I just can't to it!!

OK scuffed it and started taping it out last night / early this morning. Post pics later, going for old school candy on this.
