Surely someone must have seen the plates of the car towing it?

Wouldn't last long on a banger track, but as Ivor says the classic rally brigade are really driving both Mk1&2 two door prices up.
I can't remember but I don't even think the vins were stamped into the bodies of the early cars. Just a rivet on plate.
