Racing safety and equipment pioneer Jim Deist passed away yesterday.

His involvement in all types of motor sports was from the heart. The many lives that were saved through his equipment and safety development speaks highly of his dedication for all racers. Jim was the best.

a sad loss, he was a true pioneer in the safety aspects of racing, many people owe their lives to him
