Some people get lumbar punctures and have no ill effects. I have had three in the last two years and each one has had a worse effect.
The first one was just rather uncomfortable.
The second was not so bad but gave me a bad back for a month.
The last one didn't hurt at all but a day later and I was crippled with the worst bad back i have ever had.

That lasted a couple of weeks and it was so bad i couldn't walk at all for three days.
Never again.
I will keep my fingers crossed for him.

Yeah, Keith has been in a lot of pain with his back for a long time - if a short dose of more pain actually sorts out the problem I think he'll take it gladly (well, not exactly gladly but you know what I mean!!)
Best wishes Keith, I hope and pray it will be a success and you'll be back to health!!

Good luck Keith; I know you have had more than your fair share of problems; I really hope this goes a long way to resolving them.
