High pressure Power Steering Hoses

Need a bit of help.

Are the unions for the above, standard on all power steering boxes/pumps?

I have a Federal pump (round with oval filler tube) and I am trying to get the right hose for it. There seems to be quite a selection and I am not sure which one to get. Do I have to start getting part numbers to make sure the threads all fit?

I have got mighty confused by all of this. I have a useless hose for a saginaw pump that I need to change but I aint sure what to change it to.

Where do I need to start?

Cheers

Thats very much appreciated fella, but the problem is, I don't know what I need. There seems to be quite a mix of fitting types and sizes and I am at a loss as to what I need. The one I ordered from Y1 is totally inappropriate and the fitting sizes I have eeb given don't seem to match whats in the Y1 catalogue. Chris at WASP has been as helpful as he could but getting the right part is proving difficult. Can you stick a picture of it on here????

Many thanks

Clive
