Blimey long time since I did one of these! Seem to remember the grille is held on by sheet metal nuts under the dash.

According to manual.
Remove the radio.
Remove the defroster hoses.
Remove the heater knobs, then the two bolts that hold the heater panel and let it hang down.
Working from under the dash, remove the two speaker mounting nuts from the studs and carefully work the speaker down and out.
Here is a picture of how it is on a 1969 Satellite. The speaker actually mounts to a 'frame' (blackish bit around the speaker) by four small screws and then the 'frame' mounts under the dash using two nuts onto the studs.
I am going to be ordering a new speaker for our car soon as that one is toast.

yep mine is similar and is a '71 australian car
should be centre of dash
i just take out my ashtray and work through that hole and lie on my back with my feet over the headrest and head on the tunnel and work from under the dash.
you will need to take off the pipes to the heater/defroster vents that exit in the top of the dash
all the flange nuts used under there are the same size you will be pleased to hear.
the dash pad, if fitted is also bolted down usuing these nuts
1 at each end the 3 spaced evenly across the width
pad is the cliped on so should slide up and back to come off
gets a bit of light on the subject matter and exposes a wealth of opportunity's for cuts and gashes to hand and wrist
GPRS (Gippsland pentastar restoration services) in Australia do fibreglass speaker pods that you can put in place of the kick panels in the footwells.... should fit your car....its an A body and aussie cars ar all A body RHD based cars
check the list of links in the top of the aussie section for them
