Rim Screws

Calm down chaps, its not a posting for the water shed.

I always ran rim screws on slicks with inner tubes, but this season I am not running tubes in the hope I get more crush on the launch.

Does anyone else run without tubes, and if so; do you still run rum screws or are they less important as it is not possible to rip the valve neck out as with tubes?

Any thoughts? :read2:

Well , not running you're times Pete but a heavy bitch all the same , no tubes here , nor rim screws , the tyre moves around the rim around 2" per run , hence the reason for not running tubes.

Pete I ran the RR and the Bee on slicks and rim screws without tubes no problem.
However they do deflate slowly like a small valve leak so I always double check the Tyre pressures at the end of the fire up lane to ensure they are equal and up to the set pressure
