Fair play, when the weathers crap at the Pod it really is the last place on earth :?
Glad you at least got one good run out of all that Pete!
When you guys say 'too much clutch' what do you mean? Is it letting the revs too high before biting or just biting too hard?
Or summat else entirely

Interesting stuff, Pete.
I knew they changed the big end bearings, but did not know they change the main bearings as well - is this on every run?

You are right on the money Pete, I saw the Pro Mod Daytona down at Andy Robinson's last year and it was impressive then!

I bet you are glad to have stuck with nostalgia, I certainly can't be doing with all that laptop stuff

Hey Pete, good to see you yesterday, :thumbright: as usual another week end ruined by the weather at the track, this is becoming a familiar story at every FIA event. See ya at the next big one :thumbright:

This is all new to me as well but to much clutch is the last thing you need when making 3000hp and a damp track. The clutch is adjusted by feeler gauges and weights . To soften the clutch you take weight of ,These are on finger type things that when spun gravitate outwards and push a spring which pushes the clutch plates together .The faster it spins the harder it bites. :? So if you soften it ,it will not bite and send your slicks up in smoke. Thus allowing the power to come in not so aggressively. We just took of 50 grams from a 500 gram set up and bingo traction.
Quite a balancing act then! There must be a lot of skill and experience to get somewhere near on the 1st run of the weekend.
Nice that something so monstrous relies on summat so simple.
