Torsion bar circlips

I'm unclear. Are these seperate clips that seat inside the rear retainer, or are they meant to be fixed to the frame somehow?
Can't seem to find a decent diagram anywhere, but there doesn't appear to be a circlip on the drivers side (RHD) at all. Don't want to dislodge the other one unecessarily at this point to find out.

They just sort of clip in where you put the torsion bar in, to stop it coming out. If your missing one i may have a spare.

to reinstall the torsion bars you need to remove the circlips.in the back of the torsion bar tube there is a groove and the circlip locates in the groove to stop the torsion bar from coming out the back.the torsion bar are fed in from the back of the car and then fed into the LCA and the the circlip is reinstalled. The circlip is very easy to remove and only needs a pair of long nose pliers. use lots of grease on the torsion bars when you put them back in.

That'd be excellent mate, cheers.

Will PM.
Cheers Anton also.

Wasn't a clip at all on the drivers side.

Didn't have to unseat the other one in the end, so will leave that one where it is.
Doen't matter which way the torsion bars go back in, does it? I mean the point of the hex that was at the top doesn't necessarily need to go back at the top, does it?
