Well, we had a good look around the car last night after its "incident" at Santa Pod at the weekend.

It is remarkably solid considering.
The chassis rails look straight (the radiator did not get damaged), and the cage looks very good - the Drivers door bar is tight so that would need some investigation. No evidence of distortion on the sub-frame connectors, but in reality the car would need to go on an alignment jig to be sure.

All of the fibre glass components survived and are save-able.

I have 2 x brand new steel quarter panels for the car, and also numerous spare doors, so no real issues there.

The biggest issue is the roof. If a donor car could be found, the easiest fix would be to cut and shut the roof from the "A" pillars.

Not sure If I am skilled enough or have the time, let alone the availability of a donor car.

The worst hit was on the roof (as expected), followed by the rear where it ran along the top of the wall where it picked up the red paint:

The roof is quite a simple cut and weld job actually. Really easy for anyone that can use a measuring tape, angle grinder and Mig welder.

The only hard bit will be finding a roof. Plenty of them in the USA but over here?

Vinyls cover a multitude of sins, how straight do you need it? Maybe cut the A post to releive some tension, Bananarama! straight and reweld the roof to the post. Bit more primer over everything and job done.
It wont look over pretty, but what is the car for looks or speed?
A few battle scars going down the 1/4 will just add to the effect.

What you want is just something rough and cheap with a decent roof, problem is, there's never one available when you are looking and one every week when you're not.
If you break it, i could do with a few small things.

Grafting on a roof is really simple, a mornings work,
you just use cardboard templates for the front & rear screen
then tape on some cardboard tabs that wrap round the pillars,
scribe and cut donor, then transfer templates to youre car,
no measuring a perfect fit every time,

Sounds cool, all we need is that magic donor car...or some one with a donor car that wants to buy this one

I know it's a hard one for you to make but the discussion is yours Fella BUT DON'T BRAKE HER there will be a downer car around some where.

well as you know im interested in the motor, so if you do break im interested, also all im doing day in day is 1/4 panels and roof panels so will help out there too. let me know either way buddy.
