Went over to Andy's house today with Anton and Peter and took the engine out of Andy's Charger, Andy's engine seized up last Sunday just before the Brighton run.

After striping the engine, this is what we found. the oil pickup was completely blocked and this is the result.

Sorry about the pics, only had my phone with me.

Try & salvalge as many bearings as you can & stick it back together , anything over 2 psi oil pressure is good.

:iagree: For the worst looking bearings, run some solder over them and scrape it smooth with a stanley blade,it'll all come good :thumbright:

That will be fine, just bolt it all back together and put a for sale sign on it saying engine might need a little work :thumbright:

This is a BIG problem with ex Jenson engines, anyone buying 1 must check the oil pick up.

its not, its just that most off the engines knocking about are x jensen, its not just the valve stem seals that block the pickup its plastic off the timing gear/cam gear they brought out what was supposed to be a silent gear with plastic type stuff over the teeth they fall to bits and block the pickup
