Any of you racer guys run beefier props and ujs?
As my prop is off at the mo, though about beefing it up, i know the power dont warant it, but like to replace with stronger parts.

yes you can get beefier uj,s craig yours do look the small type, pete wiseman will tell you the no,s he seems to memorise stuff like that but you will need the prop ends to start with

Jeff hauser made mine with 13.50s and yoke for a about £280. job done

Yep, that's a good fix, but not a lot of point if you have a small UJ 741 case at the back.....

not sure what to do.
Would like to slowly replace most of the standard running gear with beefier stuff, then oneday, perhaps fit a bigger motor.

Craig , looks like fatigue due to not being greased , should be fine with a replacement UJ.

Changing UJ size (the weakest link) means a new gearbox yoke, complete prop and another yoke for the diff. You'll be best part of £500 out of pocket by the time you've done that. It's not worth stepping up to the 7290 size as parts are just too hard to find, go straight to 1350 and be done with it. Unless you think you'll be making in excess of 500hp, the small UJ's you have will last. Always use the non greasable type of UJ as they are solid and the strongest type of any given size. The greasable types are hollow and are much weaker as a result.

got mine from north west propshafts, 1350 uj's, 130 all in with uj's.
they also built coco connections prop so they take a good pounding!!!
