Aluminium v Steel Prop

Need a Prop for my cortina 727 to 9" and was wandering if it was worth getting an aluminium one made? Professional opinions appreciated 
I personally would get a larger dia steel prop, bigger UJ's,etc, than an aluminium prop.
My application, power,etc would help me make my decision
The plus side with your set up is that Cortina is lighter than most typical yanks, so less weight, strain on the drive train...
