There seems to be some very clever car guys in the Club, you seem to be one of the best!
Id love to see more of the first car and if you get the time a write up on how the Restoration went.
And keep us all up to date with the new project, looks daunting!

Thanks Guys......lots of patience and a lot of time, as you know , its all in the detail.
Was unsure if E Types would go down too well on here but I'm pleased to find we have real petrolheads
I'll post up some more pics of the V12 for those who are interested and also keep a running report on the Series 1.
Its the first time I have ever taken the plunge on a restoration but but Brother has E Types around him so I always have cars to look at for guidance.....just in case I end up with nuts and bolt left over.
What I'm finding is that its a real relaxation. Right now I'm stripping down the rear suspension unit.

well done to anyone who dives in to a v 12,they are a mare to work on space wise,

good luck with the early one and of course they go down well on here.
Most folk love all sorts of cars but Mopars happen to be top of the list.. apart from the odd few we dont all have the blinkers on..

OK lets get the V12 out the way.
Bought this 3 yrs ago at auction, a 1 owner 36000 mile car. There were just 50 commemorative E Types built to mark the end of E Type production, all black and cinnamon except one which was BRG.
The car needed paint although there was no rot (surprising for a Jag)
One thing led to another and before I knew it it was in bits. If you're gonna doa job and all that.

That E Type Series one is the same model I had, luckily I bought it fully restored and the guy who owned it before meant threw shedloads of cash at it and the result was stunning...I loved driving that car and it was as chuckable as a mini.
I sold it to my brother who still has it to this day, great to see another one being restored properly!

Blimey, I had no idea they rusted so badly, are repair panels available or does everything have to be fabricated?
