Tricky that.

I doubt you will get a satisfactory re-chrome on any of those items. In fact i suspect what you get back from the chromers will be scrap. - So my advice is continue to use what you have until you can find better replacements.

You may find someone like Duncan has some of the parts you need here, but most likely you will need to shop around the USA. THere aren't too many repro's around. I went to the Mopar Nat's in Columbus Ohio to rumage around for parts for my Road Runner, Cuda, and Challenger. There is a guy repro'ing Challenger rear light bezels (I bought some, - excellent) i don't know if Charger items are available.

Best to check in Hemmings.

I once spoke to a no-expense spared chroming firm who said they could strip off the original chrome, then keep applying layers of copper plate and rubbing down until there was enough material to fill all the pits and then rechrome - but - the initial stripping process dissolves the underlying alloy so much faster than the original chrome that the item usually ends up totally knackered. Their advice was to buy another if at all possible...

Is Trevor here???

Could you not machine these from billet and then get them chromed in the same manner as the ones Jim has bought?

If there were a few of us it would be cheaper?

Appreciate it won't exactly be cheap, but nor will sourcing good ones, especially the casting around the base of the D post.

The repro Challenger tail lamp bezels i bought are CNC machined from solid brass, then chromed. They are absolutely beautiful, and are one of the few repro products that are far superior to the original pot metal items.

'Be nice if someone repro's similar items for other Mopars too.

The trim on the boot of BR&L is now billet ali that i made, not an exact copy of the original trim but i dont think anyone has noticed yet ( now everyone will point it out  )
post or email some pics of whats needed and i will see if its possible to make new ones at a resonable price.
