Wheel choice help needed.

Guys

Keep coming back to this so it's obviously an itch for me.

I want to change the wheels on my Charger.....don't want stock.

I think the car needs a bit of contrast cos the colour is pale. I want classic wheels not modern bling.

The current wheels are 16"

What are your thoughts..?

IMHO I think your wheels look ace. Cool, classic 5 spoke.

I thought about those exact wheels for mine before I went in a different direction. Yours compliment the trim on the car.

I love the wheels and stance of your car. It's what I used as a guide when I lowered the ass end of mine.

You can't go wrong with a set of "Budgies" (Torq Thrust D's), but if you want to be a bit different, how about some Ansen Sprints with some tall rubber, or AR500's in 18 with some low profile rubber.

All available from Northants Tyres

I know this isn't the "classic" look you requested, but here are the AR500's on a 70 Superbee:

How about Kelsey Hayes recall wheels with red line tyres, will be the only car over her with them :thumbright: http://wwnboa.org/khw.htm I believe you can get reproduction wheels as the originals are silly money.

Always liked those Kelsey Hayes recalled wheels - I'd be tempted if I had a Charger 8-)

Also like those AR500's you mentioned Adam, or there's simiar from Budnik - come in sizes from 15x6 to 22x15

Check out this Charger over on 'For B Bodies Only', who's going for 18x8 & 19x11 :?

Yes....some good examples there.

I'd been thinking Torque thrust D

Love the AR500 too, still retro with a slight twist.

Kelsey Haynes look good too.

Keep em coming.

These look cool

Anyone know what sizes wheel and tyre combo would work with say a 17" wheel??

Would appear that Torque thrust D's only go to 8x17 ....I thought they went wider??

hi lee, if that was my car i would go for the ar 500s classic mopar style yet modern, but be careful not to go too low on profile, black with chrome would look fantastic to compliment a large sunfire yellow car richard

Hi Richard......I agree it's then a case of getting the optimum sizes.

There's a few $$$ worth of wheels on that 500 Rob, Paul 500 really wants a set for his 69 Charger 500 but even the repops are expensive.
